The White Lake Fall Challenge features a 1.2mile swim in the crystal clear waters of White Lake, followed by a flat and fast 56 mile bike and finishing with a spectacular 13.1 mile run around White Lake. Whether this is your season ending event or your last tuneup before a fall iron distance race, the White Lake Fall Challenge is for you!

Cut-off Times

The official race finish is at 3:30pm. The cutoff for the swim is 1 hour and 15 minutes after the start of the last wave. Any participant still in the water at this time will be disqualified and will not be permitted to continue with the race. The cutoff for the bike is 12:30pm. Any participant still on the bike at this time will be disqualified and will not be permitted to continue with the race. The cutoff for the run is 3:30pm. Any participant still on the run course at this time will be disqualified and removed from the course. These cutoffs are in place for the athletes safety and it is critical that any participant that is disqualified adhere to the official's call.

 

Medical

There will be medical staff on site at the swim, bike, and run finish. Feel free to visit the medical unit if you feel for any reasons that you need their help. You will not be penalized for receiving medical evaluation. You will be withdrawn from the race if you require transportation or IV fluids. If you have been put on medications different from your medical question on the entry form please let us know at registration. It is very important that our medical staff knows all medication you are currently taking.

 

Parking on Race Day

See attached parking map for details. There is LIMITED PARKING  parking at the FFA Camp ON RACE DAY - please car pool or ride or walk over from one of the nearby hotels. Everyone MUST be in the transition by 6:45AM.  The American Triple-T participants start at 7:00am.

 

Aid Stations

The run aid stations will have ice, water, HEED, Hammer Gel, E-Caps, fruit and cookies at the transition exit, miles 1-6. Participants will pass by each aid station twice on the way out and back. Participants will have three aid stations on the bike (mile 25, 35, and 45) with water and HEED (in bottles), ice, Hammer Gel, E-Caps, fruit and cookies.

Course Info

Swim

Two lap rectangle course in the crystal clear waters of White Lake.  Expected water temperature is in the low 70's.  Bring your wetsuit.

 

Bike

A 56 mile loop course on the flat and fast roads surrounding White Lake.

 

Run

A spectacular 13.1 mile out and back course around White Lake.

 

Registration & Packet Pickup

Saturday at the FFA Camp from 11:00 am - 2:30 pm
Sunday (race day) Packet Pickup only from 5:00 am - 6:30 am at the FFA Camp area.

There is NO RACE DAY REGISTRATION, packet pickup ONLY!

 

Timing Chip Pick-Up

Timing chip pick-up is Sunday (race day) from 5:00 am - 6:45 am
*You must wear a chip in order to be timed and receive results after the event.

*You will be charged $30 for each lost or non-returned chip.

 

Race Packets

All pre-registered participants will receive an official race technical t-shirt, swim cap, post race food and beverages and much more.

 

Awards/Race Divisions

The top three male and female will receive awards.

Race divisions are as follows:
Age Group - 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49,

50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75+
Elite Open - 15-39 years old, has chance to finish in top 10 overall
Elite Master - 40-75 years old, has chance to finish in top 10 overall
Clydesdale - Males racing weight groups, not age:
-under 39 & 185lbs-199lbs
-under 39 & 200lbs-224lbs
-under 39 & 225lbs +
-over 40 & 185lbs-199lbs

-over 40 & 200lbs-224lbs
-over 40 & 225lbs+
Athena - Females racing weights group, not age group - 150lbs+
Mountain Bike - racing on a heavier bike with wider tires then a triathlon bike
Aquabike - racing only the swim and bike portions only (no running)

Triathlon Team - one swim, one cyclist, one runner
