We have partnered again with AE CC/MD, a Non-profit Organization, established to make charitable contributions toward the benefit of Crohn’s Disease, Ulcerative Colitis, and Muscular Dystrophy research. This event was one of the original race venues of the Wheelie Fun Series 18 years ago. Hueston Woods State Park was always a fan favorite and was yielding significant (500+) participant numbers, well before the sport grabbed a firm foothold on the Ohio multisport community. Hueston Woods offers a beautiful venue that Mark Lemmon (then a writer for Lew Kidder’s Triathlon Today) once proclaimed was “made for a triathlon”. With a rolling 9 mile cycling loop surrounding the boat-free Acton Lake and a run up the Sugar Bush trail, Hueston Woods is nearly a perfect triathlon venue.
