It’s good to do a double take once in a while to make sure you are on track with what is really most important in your life. Think about what is most important in your life, write it down, then take a look at your daily schedule (what you actually really did for a day, not necessarily what you had scheduled), then matched it up with what you say is most important in your life.

Such an innocent question and 99% of the world answers in some version of “fine”. Yes, those of you who have asked me that question know my response is some variation of “slow, fat, and ugly – but consistent”, and that’s usually matched with a smile. The smile is the telltale sign of how I really am, and I am sure you know this.

From Tragedy to Triumph

What a weekend! As a lot of you know (being avid fans of the “View from the Hill”), this weekend was the date of the benefit for Shane Tobin and Brett Hensinger, Aka “Team Tobin”, the two athletes that were run down by a car while training for a triathlon. (see the “View from the Hill” Sept. 21 for full details of the accident and injuries).

Knowing Where You Are

In order to get where you want to be, it’s essential to know where you are. That’s why doctors prescribe tests, trainers put you through regular tests, and students have to take as many tests as they do. You can’t make needed changes unless you know where you want to be and where you are at any given time.
