It's always nice to look back to where you came from. Whether that's when you first got started in triathlon, your first race or when you did you first brick workout.  Usually you feel like you've came a long way (baby!) and now you train smarter, rest more and have a much better bike.

HFP Racing was recently given a glimpse back to the past as our webmaster sent me a link to HFP's website from 1997.  As you can see in 1997 we still were considered Health and Fitness Promotions before our customers shortened it to HFP Racing and the website was not much to look at back then.  For a good laugh read Mark Lemmon's "Slice of Lemmon".  I love the part when Mark talks about one of the highlights from 1997 was getting a home computer to "surf the net".  I can remember arguing with Mark in 1996 that HFP would never put up a website - who's going to sit at a computer and look for race results? Well, we know that answer now - HFP relies totally on the Internet for registration, race results and everything in between.

Just for kicks and giggles click on the results link and look up some of your old results (wow I used to be able to run a lot faster!).  Enjoy a look at the past as you look forward to the start of the 2009 season.
